Driving Test Tips
89Getting your driver's license is a big step in life, and it can be a necessary tool for getting a job or the key to experiencing the world around you. Preparing for your driving test can seem especially daunting because you have to take everything you've read and actually do it! Thankfully, there are some easy ways to prepare that don't cost a lot and can really improve your chances of success. Here are some ideas for you to consider:
1. Who you will be driving with during practice? Are they someone you respect and can take advice from, or will you get flustered or anxious with them?
2. Practice in a car with an automatic transmission and power steering. Not having to worry about shifting and awkward controls will let you focus on your driving.
3. Find a quiet area without a lot of other traffic when you first start your driving practice, even if it means going a bit out of your way. Starting in a busy area with complicated traffic signals will hurt your confidence!
4. Plan your practice routes with your mentor to ensure you get to experience all of the required traffic signs, maneuvers and traffic patterns.
5. Always bring your driving manual with you on your practice drives so that you can refer to it for any technical details that you can't recall clearly.
6. Before going on a practice drive with your mentor, imagine yourself driving and visualize what you will do in different situations and what it will feel like in the car.
7. Talk to your friends about what their driving test was like, and get a sense of what the examiner was getting them to do and where they felt unprepared.
Applying these tips while you practice will reduce your stress and allow you to focus on learning the skills you need to pass your driving test the first time!

Driving Test Tips - Things to keep in mind during your Driving Test
Here are some specific driving test tips to help you during your actual driving test.
When you get into the car with your examiner for the driving test:
- Adjust your seatbelt
- Adjust the mirrors
- Make sure the examiner has his seatbelt on!
- Start the car
- Release the parking brake
- Look behind you while backing out
This is what is expected of you while driving on the driving test:
- Follow inspector's instructions
- Bring your car up to speed in short amount of time
- Maintain a reasonable space cushion between the vehicles around you
- Apply your brakes smoothly
- Stop behind the stop signs and/or before the white stopping line
- Do not let your car roll after you come to a complete stop
- Do not run a yellow light.
- Do not go past the speed limit.
- Avoid talking with the inspector while driving unless you are clarifying instructions
- Always use your signals for turning and be able to demonstrate hand signals
Your examiner is going to ensure that you have grasped the following skills and techniques:
- how to maintain a proper speed
- what lane you are suppose to drive in, and to turn into from the lane that you're in
- when and who to yield to, and what to do if they are yielding to you, such as at a four way stop
- when to go through a yellow light and when to stop for a yellow light
- how to back out of a parking space safely
- how to turn in to a perpendicular parking space from the right or left, such as in a mall parking lot
- how to parallel park on the right or left side of the street, and be able to safely pull out using your turn signals
- the proper way to park on a hill, with the wheels turned the right way and parking brake set
- how to work the parking brake, wipers and washer, heater and defroster, headlights, highbeams and parking lights, horn, and other instruments and to be familiar with the warning lights.

There are many different tips you can pass along to your son Jenny. However how did he do? Did he end up passing?
Great driving tips!
some of the instructions given are not exactly true for example the instructor is not obliged by law to wear a seatbelt while conducting a test
Dear RSA,
I cannot agree with you on that point. when my husband took the test, the officer purposefully didnot wear the seat belt. and my husband didnot notice it.At th end of the test, the officer commented that my husbands observations skills are poor!!!
also, to add to priya's comment, in many places like Georgia (where i am) it is the law to wear a seatbelt. so this is extremely important for these areas.
I'm taking my driver's test this week nd I'm superrr scared. Any tips ? Nd, is it required to parallel park ?
I'm taking my test and I'm so nervous. Is the paralell parking space small? Will I survive???
I like Nintendo, especially Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
i took my test about three weeks ago and got a perfect score. Now im looking back at tips and facts like these for a speech at school. These are very good tips for poeple who are scard to take the test. At least in ohio the pentalies are really dumb if you fail. If you can just calm down and drive its a real easy thing to get through.
P.s. brawl suck play are real game like melee or gilty gear
To Jenny:
In most states, when you pay for the driving test, you get three attempts in a 12 month period before you have to pay again. Try to help your son build his confidence by driving with him and asking him questions as he's driving. When he feels he is ready, he will pass. The biggest problem in a driving test is nervousness.
Get a life go, play halo. And the driver test is easy and short. You wouln't die.
Get a life, go play halo. And the driver test is easy and short. You wouln't die.
damn i take my driving test tomorrow. im worried :/ forgot alot of things....
wow...i cant believe u all actually take time 2 leave comments on here. how pathetic. dont u ppl have lives??? lol
p.s. also, if none of u noticed...the tips on here are pretty much THE SAME as all of the other websites for tips that dont really tell you much of anything. this stuff is common sense knowledge. i was hoping it would be more informational than, "put your seatbelt on", "start the car". like wooooow....no sh** sherlock, didnt know i actually had to start the car...
I'm taking my test right after school today, and it's a month since the course was taken.I hope your tips can help me.
you forgot a few other things that are on the test:
School zone; cross-walks; never stop in front of an intersection or on a sidewalk.
When you parralell park make sure you dont stop between steps, make it one fluid movement. My brother got failed cause he stopped for a sec at each step.
Just relax be yourself but don't be cocky, examiners don't like over-confidence or cockiness. If it's snowing or raining the day of your road test...DON'T freak! it was raining when I took my test and the examiner was very understanding and cut me a break because he knew I was nervous. Oh another thing, I know there is probly alot of myths and rumours going around your high school about the examiner. I know at mine it was he prefers blondes, he doesnt pass you if you have an accent, ect ect....its all bull, dont listen to it. It's just made up but angry teens who failed and coulden't take responsibility for their own failure.
im taking my test in 45 minutes lol im not nervous i just hope i dont get another short instuctor ....... because last time she failed me over some bs just because she cant she the white lines when at a stop sign or intersection which got me pissed this lady is honestly 5 ft if that and im 6'1 c'mon not fair lol ... oh by the way i think these some pretty good tips!!!
IM GONNA TAKE MINE is 45 minutes!!! Cim soso nervous!!! :(
I'm taking mine in 45 minutes and its about to pour... sorta nervous.

I take again my drive test tomorrow.i have a lot of times to take this im so really nervous with the examiner I don't know why eventhough i tell to myself that i can pass. When i do the practice with my instructor its ok .i better pass the exam tomorrow.i hope.......
Thank you, Theresa. I'm taking mine later today. Woo!
i'm taking mine in 4 hours... what i'm going to do though(and it would probably be a good idea for others who are nervous...) is i'm going to get there early. like an hour or 2 and watch the students in front of me do their test (like follow them on the course that they take.) that way i know what to expect and would have done it already. :)
WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
thanx im already in driving school but im sooooo nervus ,... wish me luck.....

I take my test in about 5 hours. I am a little nervous but I have a pretty good feeling that I will pass. My main goal is to just give the instrutor a smooth ride. *^_^*!
i am taking my driving test in afew days time and i am really nervous because if i don't pass then we hve to ride the bus to school and my brother and cousins will be really mad at me. so i am freaking out here.
these tips are great but it doesn't tell me how to pull out from a parking spot on hill... and i really need to know that. i kind of took my driving experience a long time ago and i don't remember my instructor saying anything.., even though he probably did..

**im sorry i had to laugh at this cause your are telling all these people to get lives for posting a comment on this, and what exactly were you doing? i just thought that was funny lol :-)
i was supposed to take my test today but one of my forms was not notorized and neither of my parents could have come down to the DMV to sign it for me..so now i have to go on october 12th..a month from now...
so make sure all your forms are notarized or a parent can go with you to the drive test or else you wont be able to take the test...
Hey Britt.....
These people are looking for helpful knowledge and tips, who cares? That's what places like this are nice for, to help share knowledge and experiences that can help other people.
AND, in case you didn't realize you fucktard, you just reamed others for leaving a comment, which you just did yourself.
i'm gonna take my exam nextweek..i just want to hear your advise>>coz i dont know who's right..my instructor says...when changing lanes...i need to look over my shoulder first ,then my rear view mirror and then signal after that change lane...but mostly of my friends and relatives who's teaching me..they just have a one tips on changing lane..always signal first...look over your sholder and then signal... Plss i need your advice
Before changing lanes, signal, look in all your mirrors, and:
Check traffic behind and beside you.
Glance over your left or right shoulder to make sure the lane you want is clear.
Look for vehicles or motorcyclists in your blind spot.
Be sure there is enough room for your vehicle in the next lane.
tnx susan...... i hope i can pass my exam...nextweek.. i feel nervous... my mind is in negative sight that i cant do it...Any tips from you when i gonna take my exam?? thank you..
I take my test tomorrow, fingers crossed
I am taking my test tomorrow I hope passing it allah help me.

So whats up with bagels? I mean why not just eat toast?
I take my test Friday, I'm super nervous. Thanks for the tips.
WTF? Halo ? toast? wat the hell is wrong with u ppl??!!
I got one tip for all. Speed kills, drive honda, live for ever !!! LOL
I'm taking my test tomorrow afternoon. Mostly nervous about minor things during the driving test. Really nervous about maneuverability. Ek! Did it with ease 18 times yesterday. Tomorrow w/ a stranger? hmm... Wish me luck! Good luck to everyone taking their's soon and thank you to the tips (even if they are "common sense"). It's good for the nerves.
yeah halo
It's hard to describe how nervous I am, test tommorrow morning! Thanks for the tips, helped ease my nerves.
Thanks for the tips i take my test in 2 hrs. And brett you're retarded
ahh taking my test tomorrow morning and it's suppose to snow... I haven't driven in snow yet and I'm really nervous about parking, but your tips did help thankss =]
taking it in an hour in a hummer h3 and forget the proper way for the maneuverability, and it snowed overnight. oh well right?
Dude just pay your instructer like $150 and he'll pass you...works every time
Im taking it today in 3 hours...Im just googling around to find tips which i dont really need to...The maneuverabiity test is super easy. I know it looks hard but MAKE sure you praticed it with the car you will be taking test with. It look small but enough space. When u turned to right, back up and only focus on center and left rearview...and when you turn to left then back up only focusing on center and right rearview. Feel free to take a peek on other mirror to ensure you have space to make it through. And, do not feel nervous, just do it calmly and be focused.
thanks.. i take mine in 10 days... im super scared...
I am taking my driving test now and it is fun, there is nothing as fun as driving and typing.
i take the test tm and im stoked
I am taking the knowledge test tomorrow. I'm totally nervous because I dont know what to expect so its kinds freaky. And if I pass the knowledge Im going to take the test on Saturday. Wow people I'm Hellas nervous, mainly because I have no help from others. Kinds sad, eh? Well please wish me luck; and if you have any tips email me at mcphersonkaitlin@yahoo.com thanks!
I take mine in 2 days I'm not really nervous my idea is just be calm and cool with it. I mean come on people you have been driveing for a year or how ever long it is for you where you live. you've been studying for a year so no worries. you know what you are doing the only thing that will get you is you being nervous. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL ;)
Yeah my test is tommorrow and Im a little worried cause I feel like I need more repition to get more comfortable in the car. Driving itself I feel like I can handle but not that comfortable in the car espeacial when the last time I drove was like 2 weeks ago. Pray 4 me
I have my test tomorrow morning to get my license back...about time too. I drive a stick so some not-so-obvious tips to those taking it for the first time with a stick shift:
ALWAYS have your car in gear. Never in neutral, they failed me once for that. Just hold the clutch down while braking and put the car into lower gears as you slow.
Always shoulder glance before changing lanes.
Always stop far enough behind the person in front of you so that you can see their rear tires (the whole tires!), and make sure the instructor can see them too.
Always have both hands on the wheel, except for when you change gears of course.
Full 3-second stops at stop signs, people!
If you're unlucky (like i was) and an ambulance or firetruck drives by, make sure you get into the right lane and stop!!! They failed me for that too.
Good luck to you all and me too
Your chances of passing your driving test depends on how well you prepare. For your temps, you must study the guide or booklet available from the DMV. Those who think they know everything already usually fail. Study before you go. For your driving and maneuverability test, practice is essential. Drivers Ed is recommended for those 16 to 18. Ask a friend who has recently taken the test to give you the details.
yeh, sumtin wil b hapenin in few 15hrz 2 come. anada tip is dat never 4get 2 indicate while turnin, gud luck 2 all of us
DAMN! I failed my drivin test 2 times... In 2 days I am gonna try to pass the shitty test again... The stress before test is killing me and I couldnt pass it bcuz during teh test I am f*ckin nerveous... ;[

Im takin my test Friday morning. REALLY nervous...Do you really have to park on a hill, or backup on a curb??? Well good luck to everyone taking their drivers test! Prayin that I'll pass mine...
i hope i do well on my drivers test tomorrow. have any tips?
In about an hour I'll be off to my own test. I'm not so worried about parallel parking, but backing into spaces freaks me out. And No one told me anything about parking on a hill...
i just took my test yesterday and would have passed but i didnt know that this was required, if you have to turn right where theres a bike lane, make sure to look in your right sideview mirror and over your shoulder to see if there's any bicyclists coming before you turn. i didnt do that so i failed and im gonna go try again in a couple of hours. hope i pass!
i'm taking mine tomorrow...
I will be taking my drivers test tomorrow, im rather nervous. I have been going for lessons and gave out lots of money, so I really hope I pass since this will be my second attempt.
At school currently leaving early to take the driving test. very nervous and i feel like im gonna throw up. i took a drivers ed course, I know the road courses.. but im still flipping.
2 HANDS ON THE WHEEL! I know it sounds stupid but you get so comfortable after driving a while you don't think about it. I failed my test today. I'd catch myself and correct it, but find myself with one hand again! 12 Times the examiner counted that I did that. PISS!
I'm gonna take mine in a few hours, and I'm pretty nervous, since it's my second try, and I wasn't able to practice for a whole month... let's see how well I'll do...
Thx for the tips :)
im studing for my drivind test i need sum tips =( nervous...
I am taking my test in a few days and I was wondering if you have to use the mirrors to back up with or can you loook threw the back glass????

paintballman62@yahoo.com
I was wondering if in california, do they still make you parallel park?
i have failed my driving test four times but cant afford the driving classes it has been two years since i taken the test can i take the test again without paying for the driving classes
failed three times,
1) parallel parking got the best of me,
2)didn't turn left on yellow, and was on the cross walk when i stopped.
3)i made errors that was enough to fail me?
i get so rediculously nervous. :(
but i'm going again tomorrow,
i am honestly such a good driver, but on the test, i just like freak outtttt. :(
thanks for good tips
1st time: failed because of parallel parking
2nd time: the instructor said "turn left" but meant "turn right". I ended up going down a one-way road in the wrong direction. I failed because I listened to his instructions.
3rd time is going to be in 4 days.
britt ur ignorant
Going for my driving test next tuesday. any pointers ?

taking my test tomorrow and scared shitless of failing a THIRD time.
man, they keep getting me on maneuverability, the right side is so much easier but i keep getting the left, it sucks.
let alone the nervousness of trying to satisfy the state patrol officer, gawd, it could kill me.
i really need to get it right this time, i get so irritated because i know i can do it, but i get there and completely freak outt.
hope everything goes well, i'm gonna practice like CRAZY before i take it.
good luck to everyone else who shares my trouble!!

I take my test in 3 days a am so nervous I still cant change lanes....or back up in a straight line!! Any tips :/
RE: Mia
Changing lanes was something that almost came
Natural to me. But the first couple of times were
Scary... Just make sure you look all around before
Changing lanes including those blind spots!!! There are
Lots of those in my car. Make sure you signal too!!
As far as backing up straight I'm not sure how to help
With that one :/ but whatever you do on your test make sure
You make it obvious that you are paying attention!!
Hope this helps... My deddy told me alot of it!!
GOOD LUCK!!! ;)

I take my test on Thursday. I'm extremely nervous but some of these tips helped. I just really need to pass because I have to move in a couple weeks for school and I don't want to live in my parents basement :/
Omg, I'm so nervous I took this test 4 times hopefully I pass.......
I take my test in a hour! And I failed last time because I didn't look over my shoulder when gettin in the other lane, I apparently didn't stop like I was supposed to and parallell parking ididnt get close enough to the curb. This time I'm counting 1missi 2mississippi 3 mississipi and then looking & going. I'm just using a bigger car than last time. But I'm a careful driver! Hope I'm ok...I was so nervous last time :(
My test is tomorrow at 2:30. Nervous.
the problem in driving test is that there are too many policemen corrupted.. this is why most of us failed!!!!!!
folling instructions are very useful 4 us during driving time
When you get worried or anxious about your driving it is good to have a few tactics quickly at hand to reduce it.
To calm down at any time before you start driving, in fact, whenever at all you feel worried about driving (but perhaps not on the road with your instructor or tester watching!) try this
Take a pleasant deep breath, as you tap your collar bone, and as you breathe out make it longer than your in breath. Do this a couple of times, or more, until you feel more at ease.
Tapping with your fingers on your collar bone releases stress in your energy system, breathing deeper gets more oxygen into your lungs, and making the out breath longer encourages your muscles to relax, including your shoulders and neck.
Good luck with your test!
e my 3rd time .m juss hoping l will make it.l hve to get it right this tym otherwise l will wait for the next 6months
Wow thanks for all the tips. Im 19 and I still don't have my license. I am a great driver, but I am so scared and nervous to take the test. I dont know how well I will do with some one I dont know in the car grading me. I have never parallel parked so I am hoping it wont be a on the test. I guess Ill just have to call the DMV and ask them how long the driving test takes and what exactly I will be tested on
I take my test tomorrow thanx 4 the tips
I take mine in 10 hours... i have had only 3 driving lessons... but I'm 25 and not from this continent :) where I come from people don't drive as much. We'll see what happens, I'm pretty freaked out tbh, mostly because the car that I will be driving is a car I've never driven in my life (well, those 3 times). Haha
take my test tomarrow. Drivers ed teacher is picking me up at my house at 12 noon and taking me to the test sight. If we get there early enough he will go through the test with me. Im super nervous but know im a good driver, my drivers ed teacher says im really good and will do fine, so i feel confident but i keep reading how every one flunked theres the 1st time! a bit discouraging.
i take mine tomorrow. effffff.
fwefwef
Any good looking girls up in this page?
Thank you!
really hepful this tips :)
Thanks for the tips. My road test is in a week and my nerves are killing me. This is my third try to I'm praying this is my final road test. It's so frustrating when everyone around you passes their road test except you.....it sucks!
Has anyone taken their road test in the Bronx these past few weeks? I wonder how are they doing the road test with all the snow
Take mine tomorrow, nervous wish me luck!
I just took mine today, and it was a lot easier than I thought.
The one thing that I got counted off on was that I didn't turn right on red when I was able to. I was also a little jerky with the wheel because I was so nervous.
If you've practiced and are nice to your instructor, then you'll do fine :)
My test is on the 29th i am so nervous but thanx for the tips i will try to look on the bright side.
Thank you so much for the tips, glad to know other people are in my position! Hope we all do well! God bless.
I'm takin my test Saturday morning at 9. I'm really nervous. My driving instructor says I'm one of his best drivers too. I've had 6 lessons so far. I really hope I get a good guy and he doesn't fail me cause of one little thing. Please pray that I pass. I really want to get my license
iam going for driving test in 3 weeks time but iam not scared because i will folowing the instructions and considering the tips given
I AM GOING FOR A TEST ON THE 4TH OF SEPTEMBER AS FOR NOW I AM NOT SURE WHETHER I WILL MAKE IT OR NOT BUT ONE THING I KNOW IS THAT I AM NOT YET READY BUT I KNOW THERE IS NO TIME WHERE I WILL SAY I AM READY. MY HOPE I BUILT ON NOTHING LESS BUT IN JESUS LOVE AND MERCY.
I go in 2 hours and its raining, hopefully they are understanding if I make a mistake in the rain :(
Good luck to you all, I just took a practice test it helps alot. So if you want basically everything you need to know take the practice test you learn everything. The person is real nice and understands its so much awesomer then I expected. and I go on the 6th of September and am nervous as well :\
i took my first road test today and it was a NIGHTMARE. i haven't practiced parallel parking too much, so the first thing my instructor made me do was....PARALLEL PARK. i couldn't do it and i lost confidence the rest of the test, shaking, forgetting to use my blinkers...yeah, i was a nervous wreck after that. My advice.. make sure you have your parallel parking down (there might be a slight chance they dont ask you to, but its better to know how to do it in case) and USE YOUR BLINKERS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. i was so aggravated with myself that i forgot to use them. By the end of my test he didn't even want me to park. he had me pull up to the RMV entrance for him, which was a real slap in the face. Im disappointed in myself, but its good that he told me all the things i did wrong so i can work on it for my next one. they don't do it to hurt you, they just want to make sure there are safe drivers on the road. good luck to everyone. i have my second chance October 7th. WISH ME LUCK!
I am going for my test tomorrow, i am so very nervous.I am taking the test on a own car , Forrester. So, a bit worried about it too.But i am very comfortable driving my car.please pray for me.And all the best to everybody who is taking the test tomorrow.Cheers
hoping to pass my permit writting test soon
I did my test about 2 months ago for the first time and failed. My next test is on the 20th of October. The first time, I just could not overcome my nerves! It was really bad, no matter how many deep breaths I took or how many times I reassured myself, I couldn't calm myself down and just felt sick the entire time. These lessons are so expensive, not to mention hiring the instructors car to take me there. Failing again would be a real waste of money, but I'm not even that worried about that, I got a job and work full time to have enough money to pay for all of this. This time I will not be so nervous! If I fail again, it's not that big a deal. I'll just book again. My learner's license is still valid for a whole other year. I just really want the independence that comes with driving, I'm desperate for it! I'm taking some supplements that I really hope will help to keep me calm. I suggest everyone look up some brands of calming supplements. You can get herbal, natural ones that are healthy for you. I really think they will help me to keep calm and not freak out like I did the first time. Meanwhile, I'm just going to get as much practise humanly possible! I just wish the sun set a little bit later so that I could practise my parallel late into the night, I want to be able to do it with my eyes closed! I was so nervous and sad on the day... This time, I'm going to make an effort to be in a super positive mood. I think it will help. Positive, upbeat, maybe play your favorite band in the car on your way to the testing grounds. That's what I'm gonna do.
its my 6th road test on oct 23.i really dont know wht mistakes i'm doing during the test.sometimes gettin nervous.sometimes the examiner's mood wont be ok.really want to get rid of this whole mess...pls pray for me.
the driving tips are really helpful since you have no one to rely on but yourself alone.
if you guys are so nervous, maybe you dont have enough hours under your belt to even consider driviing on the road unsupervised. they say new drivers are 50% more likely to get into an accident in the first month of unsupervised driving! the percentage was halved every month after that . I think if you are still scared to drive you should be out practicing. Too many crazy drivers on the road!!
Also, I think Canadians should be forced to take their drivers exam in the winter! Half of society would fail miserbly.
Just something that made me laugh. Reminded me of the trials and tribulations of a driving test:
i take my test in 5 hrs. idkkkkkkkkkkkkkk im soooo nervous. what if the instructor is a biotch
LOL hope i pass it wish me luck ppl!!
Im in south africa,i failed 2days ago because i changd gears on a downhill, where is dat rule on the book isnt he suppose to give me 2nd chance for that pleas help me find out i knw im pefect in dat k53 so i never heard of ths 1.plz help me
hmmmm, just took my driving test and was referred because i quenched fire at a junction. i will be going for the exams again next week and i hope this time around i ll pass successfully.
I passed the writing test with 45/45-the highest score. Then I did my 1st road test and I failed because I forgot one of your tips: "what lane you are suppose to drive in, and to turn into from the lane that you're in"
I'll take the next one on Monday.
Thanks for the tips !
Thank you so much for your tips! I passed my test today! All I can suggest is to read through that drivers guide again and again. Practice EVERYTHING that is in there. I was nervous as hell but reading through the drivers guide and reading these tips and all the comments helped my nerves.
Guys if you have a back parking camera in your car I suggest not to used it, my instructor failed me on my test because I was looking at it when i was doing my parallel and back parking she told me I shouldn't be looking at it. :(( but instead do the old shoulder check...
i take my test on tuesday.
i drive daily already but for some reason i get more nervous with someone in the car.
and i dont wear a shoe when i drive soo its gonna be so hard to have to and to use 2 hands.
is there any good method to calm down and relax?
do they ask u to turn on the windshield and head lights?
I will be taking my road test in the next few days not really scard at all but the ony thing that worry's me is that there are buildings that block my veiw on the right and left. and there at stop signs anyone here have that same problem.
I just scheduled my drivers test today. I'm going on April 10th which is pretty much a month from now. I get so nervous thinking about it but my friend took it before and she's going to drive me through it just so I know exactly what to do and am not so nervous. I think I'm a pretty good driver, I'm just stressin' about making a minor mistake. But I'm just going to try my best and wish for the best so I can get it right in time for Summer! (-: hehehe, good luck with everyone! One more month to prepare for me!
I got my license this morning, first time taking the test! These tips do help. I was freaking out beforehand but once I started driving I was fine. Just breathe and focus on each individual step. Take it nice & easy, you'll be just fine. It's not nearly as long or scary as it sounds :)

I take my test on April 12 th :/ I hope I pass
It's god's will if you fail the driving test? If you fail it means you screwed up and you should take responsibility and stop using god as an excuse.
chris- well thats mean. let him believe in God..geez..
Failed first time bc of stopping past the line on stop signs
I'm taking mine tomorrow. My instructor said for my test have my parking lights on, because I'm still a student driver. Should I? And should I do a walk around the car? What do I look for?! I think ill do fine, but I'm really nervous!
This is really helpful since I failed my first road test because I was so nervous and how I didn't get used to the other instructor's car but I haven't practiced with my parents for awhile and I want to know(because I'm small) if it would be easy to take my second road test with my dad's Lexus SUV. I love these tips thank you so much!!
Reading these tips and comments have kinda calmed my nerves!
For everyone that's confused about lane changes, turning corners, or anything that involves the blinker really, my driving instructor taught me an easy way to remember what to do! just remember MISS!
M- mirror
I- indication
S- shoulder
S- steer
If you remember these things whilst making lane changes or turning corners in this order you'll have no worrys:)
I'm soo nervous for my test, I booked it Tuesday for the 29th of May at 10:15am.
I could of booked it sooner but my driving instructor is going to Sweden for a bit under a month so I thought this was best, also because I have about 15 hours to do in my log book so a month is perfect:)
The 29th is also my dads birthday so it might be some good luck!:)
I'm just going to go in and try my best! If I fail im just going to think: maybe it wasn't ment to be, maybe something was stopping me cause I could of crashed later that day, and if I pass well that's great as well, and I really hope I do!
I'm exteremly nervous! I have a 2 hour driving lesson with my instructor on the 22nd to go and do the test routes and she's giving me a practice test.
A 1 hour lesson on the 26th to just practice a bit more.
And then on the 29th I have a two hour lesson before my test to make sure I have time to go over everything I need to!
I really really really hope I get my Ps as itd be so helpful with work, school and just the freedom.
I'm not thinking I'm going to pass or fail, just whatever happens well happens I guess:)
Does anybody have any useful tips or tricks to remember??
Also everyone that's stressing about reverse parallel parking, don't let it worry you that much, I mean you'll only loose a few points (as long as you don't hit the curb) just don't forget your headchecks(blind spot) you can only miss 2 on the 3rd you fail the test.
Reverse parks are okay, just go up to the end of the car, line your front passengers window with the boot of the car your reversing on (dont forget blinker or head check whilst doing this), put your car into reverse, full lock left on the steering, head check then go in at 45 degree angle, when your there, do one and a half turns on the steering to the right, headcheck, go in until you feel like your in a perfect spot on the gutter so you won't be to close or to far away. When you feel right, full lock right on the steering, headcheck and reverse to move the front of your car in. when your comfortable, put the car in drive, one and a half turns on the steering left to adjust the wheels, and drive closer to adjust yourself the perfect distance to the car in front, and then you have the perfect reverse park!
Don't forget to put the car in park when you tell the intructor your done:)
If that was confusing or you need any help, feel free to email me on: Carlie.j.dessaix@gmail.com
I'm not in any way an expert I'm just trying to helping others or tryin to give tips that iv learnt and are using for my test that could be helpful!
Wish me luck, and good luck on any of your future tests x
EASY!
Trust me drivers test is so easy dont be scared!!
I have mine on Friday. I've been reading all the tips on here in the comments, but if anyone has anything additional to add that would be great! :)
I'm not worried about general driving. But I'm really worried about parking and school zones.
